Welcome to my website! You might notice a lot of letters after my name—PhD, JD, and a history of writing serious papers for international academic journals of social and political thought.

But after spending years analyzing the complex machinery of the political, legal and higher education systems, from a scholarly perspective, I came to a very logical conclusion: the best way to make sense of it all is through absolute, unadulterated absurdist satire.

That leads to my latest novel, Jefferson and Hamilton Try to Save America with Rick and Lew. If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if two feuding Founding Fathers were suddenly dropped into the 21st century alongside a couple of over-the-hill potheads, this is the book for you. It’s an uproarious, chaotic ride, but it carries a very real message about the problems America is facing right now.

It’s also the first in a series, The Bold New Adventures of Jefferson and Hamilton in the Land of the Free. I’ve completed three more books in the series that my publisher has enthusiastically accepted for publication. The second one, Jefferson and Hamilton Try to Rescue the President, is releasing later this year.

How did an academic with a PhD and a JD end up writing an absurdist comedy about Jefferson, Hamilton, and two potheads?

After spending years researching political philosophy and social theory, I realized that modern politics has become so bizarre that traditional academic analysis just can't keep up anymore! Satire allows me to use everything I know about the serious stuff, but look at it through a surreal, comedic lens. Plus, dropping two buttoned-up Founding Fathers into the 21st century with guys like Rick and Lew is just flat-out fun to write.

Can we expect to see more adventures from this group, or is this a one-time book?

There is definitely more to come! This book officially kicks off The Bold New Adventures of Jefferson and Hamilton in the Land of the Free series. I have already completed the first four books in the saga, and they are officially under contract with my publisher. You won't have to wait long to see what happens next—Book 2, Jefferson and Hamilton Try to Rescue the President, is currently being edited and will release later this year.
